Sources, licensing, and rights

EQL Helper is an independent, unofficial fan-made reference service for EverQuest Legends players. It is not operated by, affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Daybreak Game Company, Darkpaw Games, Game Jawn, EQL Wiki, or Project 1999.

Wiki-derived material

Unless a record says otherwise, copied and adapted wiki text and structured material comes from EverQuest Legends Wiki contributors and is reused under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. Each record links to its source page and revision where available.

The service adapts source material by extracting templates, normalizing field names and values, selecting fields, joining related records, calculating useful display values, and presenting the results through browsable pages and public data interfaces. Adapted wiki material remains available under CC BY-SA 4.0. The license does not imply that EQL Wiki or its contributors endorse EQL Helper.

EQL Wiki identifies the Project 1999 Wiki and its contributors as the foundation of its initial classic EverQuest material. Their long-running community documentation is acknowledged here as part of that provenance.

EQL Helper preserves Wiki, P99, Lucy, client, and future community identifiers as namespaced external evidence attached to stable EQL Helper entities. No external project controls EQL Helper identity. The canonical catalog may retain conflicting, withdrawn, historical, or server-specific assertions and labels compatibility explicitly rather than deleting inconvenient evidence or claiming every imported record is confirmed for EQL.

Approved community-project links are reviewed in two stages: administrators approve the project and exact HTTPS hostnames, then moderators approve each entity relationship. Unapproved or suspended links are excluded from public HTML, APIs, search metadata, and social previews.

Game names and assets

EverQuest, EverQuest Legends, EQ Legends, and related names and marks are trademarks of Daybreak Game Company LLC. Game icons, artwork, maps, and other game assets remain the property of their respective rights holders. They are not offered under the wiki content license, and no ownership of them is claimed here.

Client-derived travel facts

EQL Helper may derive limited travel facts from an installed client's zone-name table and labeled transfer points in map files. The service preserves only normalized zone identifiers, transfer labels, raw point coordinates, record counts, and SHA-256 evidence hashes. It does not copy map lines, geometry, artwork, filesystem paths, logs, accounts, or player identity. A file's presence is not treated as proof that its zone or route is currently available.

Map point coordinates remain labeled as unvalidated until representative in-game checks establish a correct transformation. The journey workbench will not present them as /waypoint commands before that review. World availability and travel links merge in a deterministic generated read model so routine wiki synchronization cannot silently replace reviewed enrichment.

Service software and original work

The software and original materials used to operate EQL Helper—including its service code, data-processing tools, templates, styles, deployment configuration, and project documentation—are proprietary software and original works, copyright © 2026 Cole Speelman. Access to or use of the service, website, or public API does not grant a license to that source code. This reservation applies only to EQL Helper's original work; it does not restrict the CC-licensed wiki-derived material or any third-party rights described above.

Accuracy

This reference service is provided as-is for gameplay assistance. Records may be incomplete, transformed incorrectly, or behind their source material and the current game. Check the linked source evidence and current game behavior when accuracy matters.
